Intense Cycles’ new website up. It looks great but I’m not crazy about 100% flash sites. I am crazy about the new Intense SlopeStyle though.
The greatest name for a magazine ever. Meatpaper.
ARTCRANK is a poster party for bike people. It’s going off on April 5th at One on One Bikes. I didn’t make it last year but it sounded like a good time and I’m hoping to attend this year.
The website and trailer for Seasons, the new film from The Collective is online. The website looks good; the trailer looks awesome. While Cam McCaul is a great and entertaining rider to watch, I think watching him practice tricks in the pool will be about as interesting as watching someone jump into a foam pit, which is to say, not much, but I can’t wait to watch Thomas Vanderham’s segment. Long live big mountain riding!
The trailer for Clay Porter’s new movie, F1RST is online. It looks great, but then I thought the trailer for Between the Tape looked great as well and I still haven’t seen the whole movie yet. I find that when the primary subject of a movie is a particular year’s race season and the movie doesn’t get released until the next year’s race season has started then I tend to lose interest. Still, with the exception of the cheesy narration, this movie looks great! Maybe it can hold my interest until April. (via declinemagazine.com)
The cable cam footage in this trailer looks incredible.
I can’t stop looking at this picture on littermag.com. I love the wave of dirt coming up over the toe of his shoe as he drifts through the corner.
My friend ElToro is trying to win Rip TV’s Banger Hunt this month. Watch his video and give him props.
This about sums it up. (via nsmb.com)
MN trails are starting to open. Spring is officially here!
littermag.com has pictures of the new prototype V-10. That thing is so damn sexy. I would have thought that only the Syndicate would be running these this year, but it looks like Big Crank Racing might be as well.
Spring is here! Whistler Bike Park’s first bike park report of the year is online.
Keystone has posted some descriptions of the new trails that will open this season. I’m having a little trouble picturing what an 18-foot corkscrew will look like but I can’t wait to ride it!
Crankworx is coming to Colorado. I’m supposed to be in Colorado immediately before and after this event. I might have to make some changes to my schedule. I’d love to see this event.
My friend Rob just got a new computer and has been busy editing his backlog of footage. Knapps Castle and The Hucklebuck.
Sounds like Keystone is really stepping up their downhill trails this summer. Can’t wait to get out there and ride. Now if only they would stay open later than the middle of September.
Wow, first a new Bullit and now a new Heckler. Looks like somebody’s been busy over at Santa Cruz Bicycles.
The 2007 Red Bull Ride the Sky Race through the skyways of St. Paul MN is going off on Feb. 26th. Only 50 riders will be allowed to race so get your applications in. I rode in the race last year when it was known as the SkyRide. This year’s race should be even better as it sounds like the stairs are fair game. Unfortunately I won’t be racing this year because I’m going in for ACL surgery in Jan. and I don’t think I’ll be in racing form by Feb.
Between the Tape trailer is out. Can’t wait to see this movie.
The bullit is back!. The external bearings on the pivot look beefy.
Fox has posted their Interbike video. Created by Cole Porter, it features Mark Weir, Adam Craig, Jared Graves, Kyle Strait and Mark Beaumont. I love seeing Mark Weir rip it up on that Nomad. (via tworide.com)
I thought my backyard freeride park was coming along nicely but after seeing this guy’s setup I can see that I have a lot of work to do.
Keystone opens for bikes today with Pedal-Rama. Can’t wait to get out there!
The Adidas Slopestyle competition in Saalbach Hinterglemm, Austria is going on right now.
